Another painting of Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach CA.

This one was from a photo reference. I was on location doing small color studies and taking photos. then went home and put in about 6 or so hours on this bad boy. Learned a lot from this in terms of planning, edge control and also texture. This rock was difficult but fun challenge!

Trying to get A HEAD in art

Get it because I painted a skull? Eh? Any ways, tried using some saturation in shadows and slowing down and rendering planes and the roundness of certain areas. All in all fun little study!!

Excited after visiting Super Evil Megacorp, I sketched these guys at a near by cafe!

It was awesome seeing Carlo Arellano and some of my crazy talented LCAD buddies Anna Sakoi and Michelle Hardy. Vain Glory is looking amazing and its no wonder why its an award winning game.

Here is Ollie Gunnerson. My main hero for a story Ive been developing called Divine Lights: A Quest to Save the Galaxy!

Ollie Gunnerson is an ex gang member who who was saved by alien monks after he crash lands on a planet during a space gang fight. They teach him morality and give him an ancient bow staff (later finds how powerful it is) after 3 years of training, recovery, and humble work. He becomes a smuggler not on either side of the law, and lives by his own moral code. On one of his jobs he finds out the Galactic Council is up to something that can change the fate of the Galaxy for the worse. He chooses to rise up and go on his quest to save the galaxy. Along the way he will meet other unlikely heroes that will join his journey.

Armor Study Numero Dos!

This one was done in less time and was more of a sketch perhaps than the other one. Just tried to nail down some of the overall blues in the metal (alot from the sky). Also Tried to nail down some of the reflected color coming in from the environment :)
Still a lot to learn but having fun with these!
